Visual Shelves
Visual Shelves gives the users an overview of the given material on each bookcase,
With Visual Shelves, the users are allowed to digitally flick through the material within a bookcase subject, alignment or display.
The users can, according to their preferances, choose to flick through the material at their local library or amongst the material within a display.
The users can also make searches within the library with similarly material by removing a tick.
The user can also use Visual Shelves as a OPAC-searching screen if wanted.
After use, the screen will restart and can be used as Visual Shelves.
The user can also read further information like:
- Reviews
- Snippets for the material
- Trailer or music videos
- The user can reserve loaned material
Visual Shelves can also be equipped with a RFID-scanner allowing the user to scan material and read further information and lend the material.
By using a configurable service, the library can choose to present a part of the collection.
Visual Shelves also offers statistics giving an overview of the use of the system.
Visual Shelves can be used on a narrow touch screen installed on the back of a wall or inside the shelf itself. Visual Shelves can either be shown vertically or horisontally.
